Calvary Celebrates

50th Anniversary

"Faith Harvest Festival"

50 years of faith based ministry was celebrated at Calvary with a special 10:00 am worship service.

Organist Jodi Rueth and Pianist Jan Simonson provided music for the service.

The Calvary Choir performed a beautiful number titled "Forward by Faith."

 Several charter members were in attendance and were recognized.

 The Lessons for the day were read by congregational presidents, Roger Heineck (1979-1981), Ernie Erickson (1982-1983 & 1996-1998), Matt Jorgensen (2006-present), and Terry Giles (1999-2001).

 The message was delivered by Pastor Greg Kaufman, Assistant to the Bishop from Eau Claire on the text in 1st Peter.

 The Sacrament of Holy Communion was received.

 Pastor Gordon and Terry Giles read letters from our former Pastors, Dan Litzer (1969-1973), Ron Nordin (1973-1978) and Paul Forde (1978-1988) and from NW Synod Bishop Duane Pederson. 

Pastor Kaufman read a letter from Pastor John Songa of our sister congregation in Malawi.

 Following the service a lunch was held in the fellowship hall.
